Mile End Apartment
Ongoing renovation of an existing one-bedroom flat in Mile End, adapting the roof space to create a second bedroom and studio connected by a compact staircase. The project explores the reuse of the existing fabric through a series of measured interventions, increasing the capacity and flexibility of the home while retaining its original footprint. A continuous white reflective floor, replastered walls and ceilings, and a restrained palette of white surfaces, steelwork and a carefully selected colour palette establish a brighter, more cohesive interior, demonstrating how modest architectural changes can extend the life and functionality of an existing dwelling.
