Jake Parkin MArch, BA, AA Dipl, ARB
Architect
He studied object and spatial design at the Leeds College of Art. He then received a five-year scholarship to study at the AA School of Architecture where he was nominated for Diploma Honours and awarded the William Glover Prize. In the UK, he has worked at multiple award-winning firms, including Foster and Partners, 3xa Design and Farshid Moussavi Architecture where he worked on winning competition entries including an Arts Centre in Saltaire and the Ismaili Center in Houston. In Los Angeles, he worked at Bureau Spectacular, on projects for the Chicago Architecture Biennial, the Taiwan Academy in Hollywood and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul.
Lecturer
He co-leads MArch Architecture Design Studio 17 at the University of Westminster with Jane Tankard and also teaches Time-Based Media and Interior Architecture. Previously, he taught at Oxford Brookes, DMU, Leeds Beckett and the AA. He set up the AA Visiting School in Los Angeles in 2020 with Jimenez Lai and has been a guest critic at UCLA and the Bartlett.
